ALDWYCK’S MY GAL SAM
January 4, 2002 to May 8, 2009
Sam passed her Canine Good Citizen training and was a Certified Therapy Dog. She was very intuitive and seemed to know who was in need and what it was that they needed. She gave so much of herself in this role that she was totally exhausted when she finished working at a nursing home.
Sam was the smartest dog we’ve ever owned and gave us so much joy. She was like the ‘Energizer Bunny’ when it came to retrieving. If one didn’t stop her, she would retrieve until she dropped. She was so intense about it that when she brought you the ball, she would actually stare at it intensely and be on point until the ball was tossed.
She was a warm and giving girl who could give you soft tiny whisper licks that would melt your heart. Everyone who came in contact with her, fell in love with her. When we lost Aldwyck’s My Gal Sam unexpectedly, part of our heart went with her. She is one of those rare and special dogs that will always be remembered as ‘The One’. We dedicate our goal of bettering the Labrador Breed to her, our best friend.
Zoie passed her Canine Good Citizen training and became a Certified Therapy Dog where she shares her willingness to please others in nursing homes. She was calm and laid back inside the home, earning the nickname Mellow Yellow Zoie. However, once outside, she was charged and eager to show her love as an avid retriever and a superior swimmer. She was a retrieving machine. She set the stage for good behavior for all the other dogs in our home. Everyone loved Zoie.
Zoie was bred one time to a champion and master hunter. She produced a fabulous litter of nine.
